Dental Lasers: Game or Game Changer?

Dr. Hana Hobbs is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and has a highly successful periodontal practice in Hillsborough, NC. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry and attended the University of California at San Francisco where she earned her Certificate in Periodontology while simultaneously earning a Master’s Degree in Oral Biology. Dr. Hobbs received the “Most Innovative” Clinical Research Award from the Western Society of Periodontology based on her thesis on the link between growth factors and healing in Periodontal Therapy in Diabetics. Her master’s thesis: “PDL Cells from Insulin Dependent Diabetics” was published in the Journal of Periodontology Vol 70 Issue 7. Dr. Hobbs serves on several committees for the American Academy of Periodontology including the Insurance Committee and Continuing Education committee. She is a recognized leader in her field of Laser Periodontal Therapy and is a Speaker for Straumann Dental Implants. As an educator she lectures all over the world and has presented to numerous study Clubs, National and International Dental Societies discussing topics such as The Link Between Periodontal Disease and Diabetes, Laser Assisted Periodontal Therapy for Treating Periodontal Disease, and much more.
